CSC 498: Senior Project, Fall 2005

Timetable

Week 1 (8/29-9/2):

Course introduction, discuss project ideas. A one-paragraph description of one or two project possibilities is due by Friday, September 2. Email it to your instructor: gct@depauw.edu, bhoward@depauw.edu, or aolowoye@cs.indiana.edu. Each description should be preceded with a tentative project title.

Week 2 (9/5-9):

Individual meetings as needed, time to be arranged. Your project proposal (hard copy) is due Friday, September 9 to allow time for an approval decision by meeting time next week.

Week 3 (9/12-16):

Required 15 minute individual meeting during regular class time. Meeting times will be assigned.

Week 4 (9/19-23):

Individual meetings as necessary based on any required proposal revisions.

Week 5 (9/26-30):

Checkpoint One presentation and S Presentation One.

Week 6 (10/3-7):

Individual meetings may be scheduled as needed.

Week 7 (10/10-14):

Checkpoint Two presentation and S Presentation Two.

Week 8 (10/24-28):

Ethics Exercise and `S' Discussion.

Week 9 (10/31-11/4):

Checkpoint Three presentation and S Presentation Three.

Week 10 (11/7-11):

Individual meetings may be scheduled as needed.

Week 11 (11/14-18):

Checkpoint Four (by appointment; meeting times will be assigned).

Week 12 (11/28-12/2):

Individual meetings may be scheduled as needed.

Week 13 (12/5-9):

Public Final Demos (S Presentation Four); Final project and report are due at this time.
